We’re here to help you with all things library-related. As a distance learning student, you can count on us to assist you. We hope that you’ll come by the University of Georgia Libraries if you are on campus or have an opportunity to visit. Here are some quick links to information you may need:
If you are off campus and are unable to physically visit the Libraries, you’ll need to have the Department of Access Services create a library account for you. Accessing your library account online tells you what you have checked out and when it is due. You’ll also be able to see any holds or flags on your account. If you have trouble getting to your account, please call Access Services at 706 542-3256. After 5PM and on weekends, call 706 542-0641.

Access to most UGA GALILEO databases is restricted to current students, UGA faculty, and staff, and it requires the GALILEO password. The GALILEO password changes at the beginning of each semester.
Your library card is your UGA ID card. Enter the 81 portion of the barcode number on your ID card to get the current password, to look at your library account, or to recall items that are charged out to another patron. Click here to get your GALILEO password. You'll need to get your PIN number to obtain your GALILEO password. This is a five digit number that will be sent to your UGA mail account.
If you do not have a UGA ID card, you will still need to get your 81 number. The 81 number is found in your registration records in Oasis. If you have any difficulty with this, please call Access Services at 706 542-3256. If you are calling after 5pm or on the weekend, call 706 542-0641.
