Germanic Studies: Overview

A guide to finding books and articles in Germanic studies, and to using the UGA Libraries.

Welcome to the UGA Libraries!

The UGA Libraries have extensive collections of resources, both in print and online. Germanic books and journals are located primarily on the 3rd floor of the Main Library:

PF: West Germanic Languages

PT: Germanic Literature

We have hundreds of databases within GALILEO, and this guide will introduce you to the most useful ones for Germanic Studies. Some important works are still in print format, including Kritisches Lexikon zur deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur (KLG).

Germanistik Online Datenbank is accessible through GALILEO@UGA

Bibliographie der deutschen Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft (BDSL) - often referred to as Eppelsheimer-Kottelwesch - is also available online through GALILEO@UGA
