Tinkercad is an easy-to-use tool for creating digital designs available from free from Autodesk. Through these five lessons, you will be guided through the 3D design process. They teach the basics of CAD before moving on to more complex modeling techniques and are part of learning 3D Design + Printing at UGA Libraries Makerspace. Sign up for a 3D Design + 3D Printing workshop on UGA Libraries Makerspace web page.
The Revopoint POP 3D scanner is a full-color scanner. The highest single-frame has an accuracy of up to 0.3mm, texture scan, 8Fps scanning speed, and can quickly generate models for 3D printing.
Required 3D Printer Training
Students, faculty, and staff must complete a 3D Design + Printing training session to use the MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printers. Training is comprised of online learning modules and a hands-on session. Upon completion, users are empowered to independently operate the MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printers to create original content that supports the academics and research of UGA. Reservations are required for these training sessions and may be made online through on the UGA Libraries Makerspace web page. Form 3+ resin 3D Printers are available to undergraduate and graduate students. Successful completion of 3D Design + Printing is required before receiving training on the resin printer.
