Using Kaltura (Video editing and screen casting): Captions

Kaltura allows you to add captions to your videos.  You can type them out yourself and add them via uploading an .srt file, or you can have Kaltura create automated machine captioning which you can then edit for accuracy.

To add captions, click on "My Media." Check next to the video you want to have machine captioned.  Then click on Actions, and Caption & Enrich.

Click on Submit to have the computer create captions.  Remember, these are normally only 70-80% correct so you will need to edit them.

Once the computer finishes the captions (this can take some time), you can edit the machine captions.  Click on the video in My Media, and then click on "Edit" from the Actions drop down menu.

Choose Captions from the Menu under the video to open the Captions Editor.
