These four oral histories, College of Family and Consumer Sciences Oral History, UGA Veterans Oral History Project, Goin' Back, and Athens Oral History, are comprised of the history and life of different women at the University of Georgia and in Athens.

The College of Family and Consumer Sciences Oral History Collection is a collaboration between the Russell Library and the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Georgia that arose in July 2017 in anticipation of the college’s centennial in 2018.

The UGA Student Veterans Oral History Project originated as a project organized by Ted Barco, Director of the Student Veterans Resource Center at the University of Georgia, to document the experiences of the population of student veterans on campus.

The Athens Oral History Project was initiated in 2014 to document modern Athens history, roughly from the mid-twentieth century to the present. Interviews cover topics such as neighborhoods and communities in Athens, civil rights demonstrations, African American history, as well as personal histories of narrators.
