Camera Modes

Three modes to know are manual, aperture priority, and shutter priority.

  • In manual mode, you control the aperture size and the shutter  speed. (Canon & Nikon: M)
  • In aperture priorty mode, you control the aperture size, and the camera chooses an appropriate shutter speed. (Canon: AV; Nikon: A)
  • In shutter priority mode, you control the shutter speed, and the camera chooses an appropriate aperture. (Canon:Tv; Nikon: S)
