UGA has 5 million books. Some of them are academic, and others are not. Here are some brief guidelines for identifying an academic book:
1) Written by an academic press (these are normally based at a University or College)
2) Written by a major publisher (such as Routledge, Sage, Palgrave, Macmillan)
3) Written by an academic, with qualifications you can check.
Start at "Books and More" OR go to http://gilfind.uga.edu/
GIL-Find has many special features to help you find, save, cite and preview your search information.
Some of these features are only available when you are logged into your library account. You will need your UGA MyID information to log in.
To use our GALILEO databases, e-journals, and e-books from off-campus and some UGA wireless networks, you'll be prompted to log in with your MyID and password. Your MyID is your UGAMail address minus the "@uga.edu."
