Turabian Style is a variation of the Chicago style and very closely follows its structure. Based on Kate L. Turabian’s Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, Turabian citation style presents two basic documentation systems, notes and bibliography style and author-date style. These styles are essentially the same as those presented in The Chicago Manual of Style with slight modifications for the needs of student writers.
The notes and bibliography style is popular in the humanities, including literature, history, and the arts. The author-date style is more common in the physical, natural, and social sciences.
