Deadline change

The filing deadline for the 2019 tax year in both Georgia and the United States has been extended to July 15, 2020. See the Internal Revenue Service notification and Georgia Department of Revenue notification for more details.

Online Tax Forms

Tax Assistance Information

  • IRS Help offers some answers to common questions, while also providing telephone numbers for questions that can't be resolved online. 
  • The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program "offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns."
    • The VITA Locator allows you to search by zip code to find locations near you. 
  • Georgia Tax Center Help provides how-to videos, answers to frequently asked questions, as well as instructions and how-to documents.
