The Campus Kitchen at UGA is a student-powered hunger relief program of the Office of Service-Learning. Each week, students transform unused food from dining halls, grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers markets into meals that are delivered to local agencies serving those in need in Athens, GA.
Student organization at UGA that promotes the protection of all animals. Through education and advocacy, S.O.S works to defend animals from cruelty and exploitation, to reduce animal suffering, and to encourage compassion for all living beings.
UGArden is a student-run farm located just south of the main University of Georgia campus. Student volunteers help manage and provide the primary labor to grow approximately 4 acres of vegetables, fruits, shitake mushrooms and herbs using organic practices.
Real Food UGA is the UGA branch of the national student-drive movement Real Food Challenge. Through educational campaigns, events, and positive relationships with UGA Food Services, this group strives to shift 20% of UGA Food Services purchases towards real food (fair, local, sustainable, environmentally friendly).
