Save a Chapter or Section

To save a chapter or page range as a PDF on EBSCOhost eBook Collection :

  • Open the eBook by clicking PDF Full Text
  • Go to the first page of the section you want to save and click the Save Pages icon at the top.
  • From the Save Pages to PDF menu, you have the option to "Save PDF" or "Send as E-mail." You can choose any of the following options to include in the PDF:
    • Current Page: Save only the page you are viewing.
    • Current Page and the next XX pages: Enter the number of pages (up to 100 pages maximum) you need.
    • This Section: Select to save the entire section of the eBook. (If available to select)

 

Download an entire eBook

 

Adobe® Digital Editions is required for offline viewing. This free software can be downloaded from adobe.com
 

  • Click the Full Download link for the eBook you would like to download.
    • If you are not already signed into your My EBSCOhost account, you will be prompted to sign in.
  • Downloading an eBook allows you to borrow the eBook for 7 days.
  • For your download format, you can choose either PDF (recommended for desktop) or EPUB (recommended for mobile devices).
  • You must have Adobe® Digital Editions or equivalent installed in order to view an eBook offline. If you do not have it already, click the link in the dialog box to Adobe® Digital Editions and install the software.
  • After you check-out and download your eBook:
    • You may choose to transfer your eBook to your Adobe Digital Editions-compatible eBook Reader device.
    • You can re-download the eBook from your My EBSCOhost folder at any time during your checkout period.

 

Checking In eBooks

Finished an eBook and want to make it available for others to read? You can check it in using Adobe Digital Editions 2.0.

To check-in an eBook before the checkout period has expired:

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions on your computer.
  2. On the Bookshelfs screen of Adobe Digital Editions, right-click the cover of the eBook you would like to check-in and select Return Borrowed Item.
  3. Click the Return button to confirm you would like to return the eBook.
  4. The eBook is checked in and removed from your Bookshelves view screen and is available to other patrons.

GALILEO Login

To use our GALILEO databases, e-journals, and e-books from off-campus and some UGA wireless networks, you'll be prompted to log in with your MyID and password. Your MyID is your UGAMail address minus the "@uga.edu."
