The International HACCP Alliance was developed on March 25, 1994, to provide a uniform program to assure safer meat and poultry products. It is housed within the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University.

The National Chicken Council (NCC), based in Washington, D.C., is the national, non-profit trade association representing the U.S. chicken industry.

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association is the world's largest and most active poultry organization. Membership includes producers and processors of broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and breeding stock, as well as allied companies. Formed in 1947, the association has affiliations in 26 states and member companies worldwide.

The World's Poultry Science Association is a long established and unique organization that strives to advance knowledge and understanding of all aspects of poultry science and the poultry industry. Its major role is to encourage, and help facilitate, liaison among research scientists and educators, and between those in research and education and those working in the many diverse sectors of the industry.

The Backyard Gardeners Network is a Lower 9th Ward based nonprofit organization whose mission is community building, neighborhood revitalization and cultural preservation through urban gardening. We strive to sustain and strengthen the proudly self-sufficient and deeply rooted community of the Lower 9th Ward.

The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) is an alliance of grassroots organizations that advocates for federal policy reform to advance the sustainability of agriculture, food systems, natural resources, and rural communities.

BFAA (Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association) is a non-profit organization created to respond to the issues and concerns of Black farmers in the U.S. and abroad. Formed in 1997, the organization boasts a membership of over 1,500 farmers nationwide, and 21 state chapters.
