We have an extensive guide about Spanish Language research. I suggest you bookmark it and use as needed for your research assignments.
If you prefer to use Google Scholar, it has a Spanish Language version that you can search. Remember that there is no way to limit to just peer reviewed/scholarly/academic articles, so you will have to be careful when choosing an article from Google Scholar. Make sure you research the publisher or journal and confirm that it is in fact an academic journal.
The Multi-Search on the Libraries homepage indexes a lot of Spanish Language articles.
If you are overwhelmed with the amount of information you are getting back, or you're not finding what you need, I suggest using one of our specific Spanish language databases (listed below). These databases are not in the Multi-Search.
To limit to just these articles, follow these steps:
1) Click on the Advanced Search link. You must do this to limit your results to articles written in Spanish.
2) Scroll down to the "Peer Review" and Language options. Check "Peer Reviewed" to bring back only scholarly/academic articles. Next, choose Spanish from the "Language" drop down menu.
Once you've completed these three steps you can now search the Multi-Search for Scholarly/Academic Peer Reviewed Spanish language articles only.
REMEMBER: You must write out your search in Spanish and not in English.
