Library books can be requested online and picked up at the campus library of your choice.
To request book pick up: Search for the book in the GIL Find catalog and click on the title. After signing in (above the location/call number), click on the blue 'Request' link that appears.
Library employees are not able to make faculty deliveries to departmental offices at this time in order to promote social distancing on campus. Via the GIL Find catalog, faculty may request books for pick up at the campus library that is most convenient for them.
Books may be returned to the Main Library's outside book drop (in the parking lot off Jackson Street) at any time. Books may also be returned during open hours at any campus library except Special Collections and the MLC.
Automatic renewals should occur twice if no hold has been placed on the book by another patron. You may also renew them yourself in your library account. If you need assistance, please call our Access Services office at 706-542-3256 or email email@example.com.
With the restoration of access to UGA’s print collection on August 10, 2020 UGA is no longer eligible for the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service that provided digital copies of our print holdings during the Libraries’ 2020 closure. More information.
