SPED 8990--Research Seminar in Special Education (Vail): Getting Help

Additional Help & Resources

This page has little odds and ends that you may need, all gathered together into one place.

Avoiding Plagiarism Thanks to Sheila Devaney for creating this page.

Citation Management--Thanks to Liz Holdsworth for this page, which shows you how to manage the materials you are using in your research and how these tools can insert citations into your paper, correctly format them and create your Reference List. In the COE, I can help you with RefWorks and Nadine Cohen, in the Main Library, can help you with Endnote.

Contact Us--Let us help you! Don't sit there, getting angry, ask us for help! My contact info is also on the right side of this page. You can also use the Contact Us page from the Libraries' Homepage. Nadine Cohen is also available to lend a hand. She's also your contact for Endnote training. I do Refworks.

Delivery from the Main, Science or Music Libraries. The CML is a delivery point for BOOKS from the Main, Science & Music Libraries. Using GIL-Find click on the "Place a Request" link for BOOKS that are not in Aderhold. You'll need your 810/811 and your PIN to do this. Please allow several working days for deliveries.

GIL Express--Borrow BOOKS that we either do not own or that are in use from any University System of Georgia library. This service is free and pretty fast. You can choose the CML as a delivery point.

Interlibrary Loan--If there is an article you need and we don't already have it or have access, ILL is the place to go. The same for books. THIS IS ONLY FOR MATERIALS WHICH WE DO NOT OWN. The service is fast & free. The CML is a delivery point for ILL, so make us your default delivery location.  Visit their page for more information.

Google Scholar. When using Google Scholar, start with the Libraries' Homepage and use the Google Scholar link there. This way you'll be linked to what we own. DO NOT PAY FOR ARTICLES ON GOOGLE SCHOLAR. USE INTERLIBRARY LOAN INSTEAD.

Writing Assistance Links to ways to get help with your writing.
