EPSY 6990e: Master's Seminar (Hines): Getting What You Need When We Don't Own It

Interlibrary Loan & GIL Express

When you need a book, check to see if UGA owns it by searching in GIL-FIND, the Libraries' Catalog. No? In GIL-FIND  you can click where is says "University of Georgia" and change it to search all of the University of System of Georgia Libraries at once. You can borrow books from anywhere in the USG system and have them delivered to UGA or anywhere else in the State. See our GIL-Express page for details.

If the book isn't owned in the State, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. Please be aware that you will probably have to pick up the material at the Libraries on the Athens campus. Not sure if that will work? Check with the Borrowing Unit of Interlibrary Loan to be sure.

If you need an article or a dissertation, Interlibrary Loan is your new best friend. They will track down the article and send it as a pdf to your email. For FREE.They can also USUALLY borrow dissertations from other universities, mostly for FREE. Rule of thumb: don't pay for things in Google Scholar or Dissertation Abstracts until you've talked to Interlibrary Loan.

Delivery Services Between Campus Libraries

If you are normally closer to the Curriculum Materials Library but need a book from the Main Library, you can request titles to be sent to the CML from the Main or Science Libraries. Visit our Retrieval & Delivery Page for details.
