Setting up alerts in Google Scholar

To set up Alerts for new citations in Google Scholar you must have a Google account.

To set up Alerts, go to and click three lines and then "Alerts."



Click on "Create Alert" Button



Type in the search you want Google Scholar to run.  If you are interested in new articles by a particular author you can type in that Author's name.


After you set up the Alert Google Scholar will send you emails when a new citation matching those words is added.  To stop the Alert go back to the Alerts page and click "Cancel" next to the Alert you wish to cancel.
