FYOS 1001: (Phelps): When You Already Have A Citation

Getting THE Article You Need

When you have a citation in hand, for example, from the bibliography of another article, and you want to get THAT new article in hand, do this:

Libraries Homepage>>Journals by Title>>Type in the TITLE OF THE JOURNAL, NOT THE ARTICLE TITLE, leaving off any leading articles (a, an, or the) from the JOURNAL TITLE (Theory and Research in Social Education)>>click the search icon (magnifying glass).  A new window will open.

If what you need isn't available in full-text, search in GIL-FIND (use the tab--Books & More (on the Homepage) to see if we own it in print.  Again type in the title of the Journal. For example, search for Social Education in GIL-FIND. The example below uses the Advanced Search:

You already know the online info, so you need to look at the print information. Still don't have it? Talk to the good people in Interlibrary Loan.  See the Interlibrary Loan tab for more information. Questions? ASK!
