SPAN3030 - Objectives
This guide is designed to help you identify key databases and other resources for research that will aid in writing an analytic essay about Spanish literature.
With the help of this guide, students will be able to:
- Identify appropriate databases and other sources of reliable information to complete the course assignments, and determine how to critically assess the reliability and relevance of these supporting materials.
SPAN3030 - Goals
- Find an article or chapter of a book that is at least 8 pages that covers works and topic from class related to poetry or theater in Spain or Latin America.
- Write a 3-4 page essay about the article/chapter.
- Be sure to use MLA for style and citations.
ESSAY DUE - (Tarea 3): April 20.
SPAN3030 - Style Guides
There are various styles for creating bibliographies and citing authors in your research papers. Basic information about some of the more popular styles can be seen from the Libraries' homepage. Look under the "Services Help & Support" tab, in the first column (Research & Teaching), for "Citation Help". Click on the Citation Style Guides link to get a list of all the styles. There is a brief summary of the MLA Handbook. For more detailed information see the copies of the 2016 edition of the MLA Handbook available at the Main, Science and Miller Learning Center Reference areas. There are also two copies on the third floor of the Main Library (PN203 .G53 2016).
