All library buildings are currently closed.
Can I still get books from the library?
While we have suspended book pickup and scanning, you can still access ebooks and other online resources, as well as request articles and book chapters through Interlibrary Loan.
My book is due. How do I return books?
All due dates have been extended through August 8. Fines are not being enforced and no accounts are being blocked. We ask that you hold onto books if possible until we re-open. If you are leaving town and need to return books, you may put them in the book drop in the Main Library parking lot.
Can I recall books? What if my book was recalled?
We have stopped the recall service. If your book was recalled before we suspended the recall services, your book is technically overdue. Fines are not being enforced and no accounts are being blocked. To request that fines be waived,

We are still accepting ILL requests for articles and book chapters from UGA users.
Can I access online library resources from off-campus?
Can I use VPN to access library resources from off-campus?
VPN does not ensure access to library resources. While VPN connects to the campus network, most of our e-resources are hosted off-campus and require proxy authentication. In fact, VPN may interfere with EZProzy access for some databases and licensed content. Instead of VPN, use the library website and/or resources provided in our off-campus access guide to connect to this content remotely.

How can I access SciFinder from off-campus?
Users with SciFinder accounts can access the database directly without using a proxy link. First-time SciFinder users will still need to create a unique user ID/password using the VPN or UGA vLab. Please contact Chemistry Librarian Ian Thomas for additional support.
