We’re here to help you with all things library-related. As a distance instructor, you can count on us to assist you. We hope that you’ll come by the University of Georgia Libraries if you are on campus or have an opportunity to visit. Here are some quick links to information you may need:

Obtain a library account

If you are off campus and are unable to physically visit the Libraries, you’ll need to have the Department of Access Services create a library account for you. Accessing your library account online tells you what you have checked out and when it is due. You’ll also be able to see any holds or flags on your account. If you have trouble getting to your account, please contact Access Services at maincirc@uga.edu.

Answer your questions about library services for distance learners and distance faculty.

Assist you in locating materials you need for your courses.

Assist you with your research questions.

Connect you with the best librarian subject-area specialist for in-depth questions and purchase requests.

Present library instruction sessions to your students in collaboration with your subject-area specialist.

Create library guides for a specific course or class project.

Provide online consultation by Zoom.

Assist you in putting your course materials on e-reserves.

How to Access Materials When Off Campus

Off-campus access to the UGA Libraries’ GALILEO databases is password protected and available only to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students of the University of Georgia. You can log in with your MyID. Students from other Georgia institutions and Georgia public library patrons should contact their own libraries directly for password assistance.
