Welcome to the GCBA Libraries Resources Page!

 

The Georgia Children's Book Awards program is hosted by the University of Georgia's Department of Language & Literacy Education in the Mary Frances Early College of Education. Established in 1968, the book award's purpose is to foster a love of reading in the children of Georgia and to introduce them to books of literary excellence. The award is given annually for two categories: picture books and middle-grade books. 

 

This guide will help you explore the recent years book nominees. Available titles can be found in the Curriculum Materials Library in the Mary Frances Early College of Education. Nominations are organized by year and grade level.
