Save a Chapter or Section

To save an eBooks on EBSCOhost chapter or page range as a PDF:

  • Open the eBook in the eBook Full Text viewer.
  • Go to the first page of the section you want to print and click the Print icon in the right column.
  • From the Print PDF menu, select to print:Select Print PDF to create a PDF file or Send as an E-mail to e-mail a PDF file to yourself.
    • Current Page: Print only the page you are viewing.
    • Current Page and the next XX pages: Enter the number of pages (up to 60) you need.
    • This Section: Select to print the entire section of the eBook. (If available to select)

Download an entire eBook

Adobe® Digital Editions is required for offline viewing. This free software can be downloaded from

  • Click the Download (Offline) link for the eBook you would like to download.
    • If you are not logged into your My EBSCOhost folder, you are prompted to do so.
  • Select a Checkout period from the drop-down menu and click the Checkout & Download button.Select Open with or Save File from the resulting dialog box.When a downloaded eBook is opened, it is displayed in Adobe® Digital Editions.
    • Note: For some titles, you may see the option to select either the PDF or ePub format for an eBook.
    • The eBook is added to the Checkouts area of the folder.
  • After you check-out and download your eBook:
    • You may choose to transfer your eBook to your Adobe Digital Editions-compatible eBook Reader device.
    • You can re-download the eBook from your My EBSCOhost folder at any time during your checkout period.


Checking In eBooks

Finished an eBook and want to make it available for others to read? You can check it in using Adobe Digital Editions 2.0.

To check-in an eBook before the checkout period has expired:

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions on your computer.
  2. On the Bookshelfs screen of Adobe Digital Editions, right-click the cover of the eBook you would like to check-in and select Return Borrowed Item.
  3. Click the Return button to confirm you would like to return the eBook.
  4. The eBook is checked in and removed from your Bookshelves view screen and is available to other patrons.


To use our GALILEO databases, e-journals, and e-books from off-campus and some UGA wireless networks, you'll be prompted to log in with your MyID and password. Your MyID is your UGAMail address minus the ""
