Setting up an Account

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic reference and citation manager. Use it to store and organize your references. There is no limit to the number of references you can store in RefWorks. You may register for a RefWorks account at: http://www.refworks.com/refworks/.

RefWorks works with word-processors to create citations in your papers as well as the bibliography in the styles you need (APA, MLA, CBE, etc.).

Once you create your account on campus, you will receive an email confirmation with a Subscriber Group Code. This code is necessary for accessing your RefWorks account from off campus.

If you forget the code after having registered, simply click on the "Forgot your login information" link on the RefWorks log in page, and a new email with the code will be sent to your registered email address.

You can request the code on your library account page.

RefWorks @ UGA

If you create your account on campus, you will receive an email confirmation with a Subscriber Group Code. This code is necessary for accessing your RefWorks account from off campus.

If you need to create your account off campus, you can request the Group Code on your library account page (www.libs.uga.edu/password.html).  You will then register for an account using this Group Code.  ***This is important.  To make sure the account is associated with UGA's subscription you will need to do this step.***

If you forget the code after having registered, simply click on the "Forgot your login information" link on the RefWorks log in page, and a new email with the code will be sent to your registered email address.
