Transferring Multiple Citations from GIL to RefWorks

Transferring Multiple Citations from GILFind to RefWorks

To save your GILFind favorites to RefWorks, you will first bring up your favorites you have saved.  Log into your account.

Check all of the books you want to save, and click on "export selected."

A new window will open up.  Click on Export, and save the .enw file.

 

Now log into your RefWorks account.

 

To save your GILFind favorites to RefWorks, you will first bring up your favorites you have saved.  Log into your account.

Click on References in the Menu bar at the top.  Choose Import from the Reference drop down menu.

Using the Import Filter Data Source and the Database drop down menus, choose Endnote View.  Then click on choose file, and choose the saved file you downloaded from GILFind.  Then click Import.

Transferring Multiple Citations from GIL Classic to RefWorks

First, check the citations to wish to save to RefWorks.

 

Second, scroll down to ”Record Options”, and choose “Endnote Citation” from “Select Download Format.”  Click on “Format for Print/Save.”

This will create a document with the metadata.

Save this document as a .txt file.  Make sure the file is saved as a .txt file and NOT as a .cgi file.

 

 

Next, log into your RefWorks account.

Click on “References” in the top menu bar, and choose “Import” from the list.

Click on “Choose File” and navigate to where you saved your .txt file.  Click Import.
